Update For 2020

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are sorry to announce that our annual two-week Halloween House for Variety the Children’s Charity will be closed this year!

However, if any of you ghosts and goblins plan on tricking or treating on Halloween night, we will have a small display with our scary music as a backdrop. Our donation box will be front and centre on the front landing as usual, so please consider a donation to help BC’ special kids.

For those who wish to write a cheque to Variety, receipts will be issued for amounts of $25 or more. Alternately, you can click here to donate to Variety on-line, right now. We’d really appreciate it.

Special Announcement:
Variety Week is September 14 – 18, and  Strand Development and Townline Homes are matching all Variety Week gifts up to $500k from now until Sept 18.  Please donate!

Be sure to check back next year for more current news.

In 2019, you helped us raise $8,131 for Variety the Children’s Charity.  Many of BC’s special kids have had a better chance in life due to your generosity.  Thank you ever so much.

Proudly supporting Variety the Children's Charity

Variety the Children's Charity

Online donations to Variety the Children’s Charity are made through TeamRaiser, the leading online fundraising platform for nonprofits, companies, and events.

Online donations accepted all year!  Thank you for supporting a great cause!

Her spectacular displays include graveyards, a pumpkin patch, scary music, dancing lights and smoke & bubble machines.  Children will be thrilled with the incredible activities that await them in the ever-popular Fun House!

The venue is wheelchair accessible and all the kids get candy.

You are advised to come earlier in the week if you want to avoid the big weekend crowds.

Vickie has been fundraising for Variety for 40 years, ever since she was 10 years old. She wanted to do something special for her brother David, who has autism. Her passion in life is helping others less fortunate even though she has special needs herself.

Vickie fundraises all year long with BBQs, Bocce Tournaments, bottle drives, and of course, Halloween.  Last year she presented $37,000 at the Variety Show of Hearts Telethon with her signature “Money Heart”, bringing her grand total up to $482,000, so watch for her next February on Global TV.
